Computing in the Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) is responsible exclusively for the functioning of servers, networks, and workstations within the labs, and for the installation and configuration of general purpose software approved by the Director, Chris Leowski; and for which a proof of purchase and/or valid licence are provided, as well as for the security systems within the labs. The CHASS Lab Specialist, Mark Austerberry, is responsible for the maintenance of the Carr and UC lab workstations by way of regular disk imaging, network administration, security, and software updates/additions.
